Nuxel is developed in public. This page explains which terms apply to which parts of the project while the final source license is being confirmed. It is a summary for readers, not a substitute for the actual license text.
Project source
Nuxel is developed in public, and the license published with the source repository is authoritative. Where this page and the repository's LICENSE file differ, the LICENSE file wins.
This page does not name, imply, or grant a particular source-code license. It does not extend or change any rights that the project has or has not granted.
Until a license is published with the source repository, do not assume that reuse, redistribution, or distribution of modified source is permitted. If you need clarity before using project code, ask the maintainers through a configured project channel.
Mascot artwork and brand
The local penguin illustrations, the Nuxel logo, the Open Graph image, and the Nuxel name and marks are project assets. They are not automatically licensed by the website code, and their appearance on this site is not a grant of permission to reuse them.
If a separate asset license is published, that license governs the assets it covers. Otherwise, treat the artwork and marks as reserved project assets and ask the maintainers before using them in another project or product.
This website
The Astro and Svelte source for this website is part of the Nuxel project. When the project source is published under a license, that project source license governs the website source as well.
The generated static HTML, CSS, images, and copy are not a separate license grant. Their availability on a public website does not by itself make them open source or free to redistribute.
Fonts
Inter and JetBrains Mono are self-hosted variable fonts distributed under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. The font files are not covered by the project source license; the OFL governs their use and redistribution.
Read the bundled font license text (OFL.txt). The file includes the upstream notices and the full SIL Open Font License 1.1 text.
Third-party names
Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy, Motorola Moto, and other product names are trademarks of their owners. Nuxel uses these names only to identify compatible hardware.
Their use does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement by the trademark owners, and Nuxel does not claim any rights in those marks.
